Cautiously optimistic. But he's not obligated to sell up, so until a suitable buyer has been lined up I'll reserve judgement.

That was underwhelming then. I hoped he would say it's been sold or new investment received, not say he is looking to sell. He's been talking about a new stadium for years, if a sale takes that long I wont be around. Another can kicked down the road.

Superb news. I’ve always thought there must be someone out there who would want to buy the club, and with the training ground and stadium at the stage they’re at, plus the interest in the NL and glory of Wrexham showcasing the potential, let’s hope we can find a steady hand with deep enough pockets to take the reigns.

Going public on this makes a lot of sense vs negotiating in secret, hopefully we’ll have someone ITK who can keep us abreast.

In all honesty I think this nothing more than a ploy to get fans off his back for the mountain of **** probably coming our way who’s going to buy the club with no assets of its own. He is buying more time not selling anything because there will be no buyers

I don't think anyone said he wouldn't sell? If they did I can't remember it. I for one was sure he would.

The debate was always about timing. Ron himself said he would look for new owners once the stadium was done- in a way this is earlier but actually in another not. The process will run a quite while and be a wide search (if this was always the plan then no surprise he didn't want to talk to people approaching him...this process is likely to identify the highest potential bidder though extensive search). The process if running along side the start of the stadium build will probably work just as well as if the stadium was complete.

Unfortunately, those queuing to buy the club (if there was a queue) were in it for the development opportunites I suspect. Not a football club alone

Is it because the next funds arent' now likely in June due to delays and he knows he can't raise any more anywhere! Does offloading the club enable him to be protected and still able have his lot of gold.
Has he got on the only lifeboat in town?
Or.. Is the investor lined up ready to go!!
It's all a bit up in the air!
now is definitely the time for all those supposed interested parties to be real about their intetests.

Now for the interesting part over the next few months! The club it self is worthless, any new owner will still have to work very closely with Ron to reach a deal to allow the club to still have a home at Roots Hall and FF in the future. I would therefore say not much changes in the short term anyway but let’s see what this also brings.

At least those that have banged on for ages now for Ron to sell etc have got what they wanted (well the first step). So you can be happy.

The frustration, however, is that he could have done this years ago when it was patently obvious to everyone except Ron that that is what was needed. He could have saved himself the agro and the club its decline.
