A play off game between a League 2 side and a NL team would be very interesting.Creating play offs is one of the few changes in my lifetime to make football more exciting (and there are very few changes that are for the better). Yes it is harsh on the team that misses out on automatic promotion by one spot but the season as a whole is all the more exciting for it.
It’s also financially attractive. Take us for example. Without the prospect of play offs there is no way we would have averaged anywhere near 6K nor the fantastic last gate of the season. With play offs the season for many stretches to the last 2-3 games of the season. Without them the last 8-10 games are all about going through the motions and not being drawn into relegation battles.
Those arguing for a 3rd promotion spot from the NL would be arguing just as strongly against it were we still struggling in League 2.
For next season it is almost inevitable that one of Notts C or Chesterfield will start strong favourites. I’d be amazed if one of them doesn’t make it. Oldham are going to be in the mix and then a whole host of other clubs.
Far too early to speculate on our chances until we have some clarity on sale, embargo and players leaving if still under an embargo.
Sorry to hear that.....Kidderminster away was the first pro game my wife had been to and she loved it, we started going to loads of away games, unfortunately she died from cancer a couple of years ago, miss her so much.
Kidderminster and Dartford hopefullyTeams that can come up from N/S
Kings Lynn, Chester, Kidderminster, Brackley
Dartford, Oxford City, Worthing, St Albans
Been to all 3 and St Albans best in my opinion.Oxford City like you say is out the way and Worthing is a nightmare to park very average facilitiesOxford city’s ground is miles out of town. St Albans is very close to train station as is worthings although a long way from the sea front!
The Garden of England you meanWith Dartford bowing out in the South playoffs, it'll thankfully be just the one journey in the league to the desolate, dank and soulless corner of England.
