Gas is expensiveWhat for a few patio heaters. They arent that expensive.
Could easily cover the pitch for £1000

We couldn’t pay the leccy and water bills we had, but that lot full throttle through the night would have finished us off (thanks to Ron’s incompetence / * anyway).I've never understood why say 10 or 12 patio heaters can't be purchased and strategically placed around the pitch to prevent a freeze.

You'll only need 10% of their talking for them to win. Can't they get the Eastleigh commentators to come to Roots Hall in the morning and talk at the pitch? All that hot air will get it defrosted in good time.
On the way to work my car temperature gauge read minus 3The rumour is game off but windscreens aren't frozen over so maybe it wasn't -3 after all.
It was, but we're under the influence of drier air here in the south east, so frost hasn't formed quite as readily due to lack of moisture in the air.The rumour is game off but windscreens aren't frozen over so maybe it wasn't -3 after all.
Air temperature is different to ground temperatureIt won’t need sun to thaw out. The air temperature at 3 degrees from about 11am onwards should be enough. Get them out there with an orange ball FFS
And they watered the pitch before the last home game or the one before that :-) :-)Air temperature is different to ground temperature
Soils have a large percentage of water in between the soil particles. Because of that water, soil temperatures are usually 10 degrees lower than the ambient air temperature
Exactly this, which makes it all the more important that that part of the pitch at the south end gets some sun on it and a chance to thaw. I can't see it getting that.Air temperature is different to ground temperature
