Wembley tickets

That rail forum was a very good find - I was going to screen shot the key posts but looks like * ORM * has saved me the bother. Definitely underlines that this is major work that was scheduled a long time ago and can't just be moved putting the blame squarely for me with the National League.

I know Wembley is special but I'd much rather the game have been booked for Spurs had it meant more fans could go.

And, more importantly, any change should have led to a double checking of everything associated with the final. That includes the trains and stations.

So either the NL knew and didn't think it would be an issue, or didn't double check. Either way, they're the ones at fault, not the Mayor and not TFL.
Definitely the NL at fault for this fiasco. Bottom line is it's their party - they booked the stadium. My guess is that they were asked by the H&S crew for an estimate of likely attendance, and using their unrivalled knowledge, said 35000 will be plenty.

A larger attendance could have been easily managed alongside the TFL works given enough time for planning. However, it was only when the 35k figure became public, and both clubs started shouting, that TFL, the Met, local council etc became aware that 35k was woefully inadequate.

there are a few people who you can point the finger at
TFL/Brent council/Wembley

the main culprit in this is the NL, they knew full well that there was station closures as this would have been discussed and confirmed when they hired Wembley for the final, did they communicate with all the league teams and confirm the situation once they hired Wembley for the final, they never ever expected the two biggest supported clubs in the league to get this far.
Could they have moved the final to another venue - possibly once they knew this closure was happening
Could they have moved the date for the final to Thursday 29th with it being half term in England which would have allowed us to have more tickets

the issue may never get a real outcome and the lump under the carpet will bget bigger and bigger as more people try to hide away from this

All we have to do now is plan our journey oif you are going by trsain, get on the coach at various pick up points and the most important thing is have a good day out come what may to all thos who are able to go...........still some tickets available on the website

Just had a call from Wembley Stadium, the diamond packages (corporate) have now become available!!!
Lady said they had opened another package area , I said you put up they were sold out from day one, you will make your mind up.

Seems to me this area is operated by ticket touts of the highest order creating panic .
Hmmm, they emailed me at 1458 yesterday that "due to overwhelming demand, our hospitality packages are sold out."

I suspect the trains will be more hassle, especially post match. I don't think c2c or GA have even put on any additional trains. And it's not like unexpected issues with trains don't occur.

Wembley is used to hosting large numbers of coaches.

When you get off the coach at wembley take a picture on your phone of the coach and any signage nearby so you have something to help you find the zone it's parked in if you forget.
Pint or three after the game it will have to be.

Are we 100% sure that the tickets being mailed out for the coach package will not just be travel tickets with match tickets handed out once on board? Surely that’s the only way the club can ensure they are abiding by the (‘kin stupid!!) requirements imposed on them.
The club, I expect, couldn't give a **** if people turn up for the coaches or not. They think it is absurd as the rest of us. They'll pay for a load of empty coaches but as far as they'll be concerned, they've done their bit and upheld their side of the responsibility.

They are not responsible for individual fans and as long as they are not seen to discourage people from actually boarding the coaches and making their own way there, they can't realistically get any punishment.

However the engineering is Saturday and Sunday isn’t it? Therefore same result but still a case of who knew what and when & who decided and when

Whoever changed it, it likely did so knowing there would be a less volume of traffic on the Sunday, as I can’t see any other reason to swap from a Sat to a Sun

Haven’t driven to Wembley before, but seems like roads will be pretty busy. We’ll be driving from Chelmsford/SWF - does anybody know what sort of time is best to leave? Would want a few hours pre-match for some beers and atmosphere. Google maps says just over an hour but obviously not representative of Sunday traffic!
We drive there for England games regularly. My advice is M25/M11/A406 it will be busy so give plenty of time. Better to be 3 hours early than 5 mins late. Lot's to do around the stadium so no worries about killing time.

Yeah Samuel is just playing to the right wing crowd for whom Khan is a primary hate/ blame figure. Doesn't really bother trying to figure out who else bears responsibility
Yes the right wing press have an agenda against Khan which the public mainly fall for, but aside from apportioning blame in completely the wrong place here it's good publicity and otherwise spot on.

I have organised a coach for Sunday (52 seats)

*** Due to the latest release of tickets being coach package we now have 12 seats to fill due to drop outs without tickets ***

£21 a head there & back.
-Pick up is from Rayleigh station (coach leaves at 10am, must be there before 9.45)
-The coach will leave Wembley at 7.15pm(allowing extra time and penalties if need be, to Rayleigh station)

Payment to secure your seat asap & will add you into the group chat. PM me if interested
Have you phoned the club and explained? Can they not add your coach to those they have secured and the do something manually in the system- may have to charge the £40 but then you can give the passengers the £19 back separately- I’m sure someone on here can tell you who to speak to- can’t be unsolvable as looking at the average fans per coach I think coach is already in some cases meaning small minibus..

Plenty of parking at Festival Leisure Park although the club do seem to have advised that it's just drop off facilities.

The retail part of it is park for as long as you want as long as your using the facilities. Areas on the industrial estate sections near Eurocarparts etc are maximum 3 hours.

You could park near Shalam Packaging in the road called Bentalls and walk. It's about a 5 minute walk from there.

Me personally I'd park in Festival Leisure near the back by either Pizza Hut or in the main car park, again as far from the cinema as possible.

Car park gets busy near the cinema but I've never seen it more than half full.
Thanks for info

From what the trust said even registering our coach, all passengers still have to acquire their own ticket through the club. If there’s spare allocation which it seems there will be now, I’m going to phone club and see if 12 tickets can be sold without their coach package
Get the ones you want to take to phone ticket office, get them allocated to your mini bus, give the £19 back when they join you- they must be. Be to allocate certain supporters to a specific transport even if manually- or transfer them from a current coach to yours?

And, of course, the NL are the only party to come out and allocate blame- to everyone else. Shocking, shocking organisation

I can imagine all this helps Kev’s it’s us against the World team talk!!!

I wander if Oldham can give us some of their non coach allocation. I am not sure how many they have sold, but the have 50 coaches going, so that is 2,500 plus 21,500 so 24,000 in total, last update I saw they had hit 20,000.

Surely they have a couple of thousand from there allocation they could give us?
