For those without a ticket.

Not cost effective but if you really want to go and get a ticket. These are the options

Buy a ticket with coach and do or don't get on the coach. Costly
Chance your arm on the day and see if someone has a spare. Risky.
Buy a ticket from the wembley package direct. Costlier but doable.
Keep an eye on the zone or socials and hope that one or two come up. Unlikely.

If I didnt have a ticket and was coming from out of area. I'd buy a coach package and then decide whether I was actually going to get on it or not.

For those picking up a coach at the airport and getting dropped off. Do not stop on the red lines either on the approach to the airport, by the hotel or in the business park including the disabled bay by Pets at Home. You will get fined.
Drop off in the long stay car park behind the hotel. It’s free for 20 minutes (once per 24hrs)

How do you get picked up on the return journey if you've already used the drop off in the long stay in the morning?

I’m still calling bs on this. The earliest published dates I can find are Feb this year so either a) they were finalised late or b) NL and TFL agreed the dates long in advance of publishing and determined that engineering wouldn’t be a problem. If it turns out there is a c) I’ll choke on it.

My previous £19.99 rolling subscription expired on 23rd May as I cancelled it the day after I took it out. Yesterday I bought a 7 day pass for £15.99. Pricing is just so weird.

Having worked there for years, it can take anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hours, with several traffic hurdles on the way. I would leave around 10am if you want to relax beforehand.

I can get a coach plus ticket now. **** seat but whatever. Do we know if you can just get in without getting on the coach? It's quite a big factor as I am spending well over a grand on a flight and would arrive the morning of the 1st in Heathrow. Getting to Southend to get back to Wembley ain't happening.

That's genuinely a complete rip off. Only a fan of either team would pay that.

Therefore less chance of picking up next generation of fan at the ground as well as on the tv.

Government legislation means listed sports events have to show a certain level of coverage on free to air channels.

By streaming the final for free, it relieves them of having to produce a highlight packages with BBC/ITV/C4. (Although I think this year BBC had a highlights package for Champions League?)

NL play offs aren’t listed, because before Wrexham’s new ownership, no games from NL were broadcast at all.

Definitely the NL at fault for this fiasco. Bottom line is it's their party - they booked the stadium. My guess is that they were asked by the H&S crew for an estimate of likely attendance, and using their unrivalled knowledge, said 35000 will be plenty.

A larger attendance could have been easily managed alongside the TFL works given enough time for planning. However, it was only when the 35k figure became public, and both clubs started shouting, that TFL, the Met, local council etc became aware that 35k was woefully inadequate.

Yes, given the reduced capacity they have basically booked the 5th biggest football stadium in London for their showpiece final. Behind Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham and even Stamford Bridge (at the original capacity they were quoting).

Their contingency proposal should have been "we'll put a hold on booking Spurs/Arsenal/West Ham which we'll use if two out of XYZ [ big clubs] get to the final, if not we'll go ahead with Wembley." And following some sensible discussion, it would probably have been established that this would have come with prohibitive costs, so they should simply have booked one of the other big 3 for this year. I seem to remember Grimsby-Solihull in our first season in the NL was held at West Ham.

Can’t help but think that Tottenham's white hart lane would have been a perfect venue, the capacity is spot on and would look super full.
I know Wembley has the prestige and history but I think much better atmosphere would be had at Tottenham. Oh well

Just had a call from Wembley Stadium, the diamond packages (corporate) have now become available!!!
Lady said they had opened another package area , I said you put up they were sold out from day one, you will make your mind up.

Seems to me this area is operated by ticket touts of the highest order creating panic .

Which is what I said days ago when this fiasco started.
