Probably just the latter, but if we gain promotion then I can't see why he wouldn't stay.

Don't forget also that the three youngsters, Josh Banton, Jack Bridge and Jason Williams, needed to be added into the mix. Not sure how long their contract offers were for?
 
Can't say I'd be too fussed at losing out on Smith, Chambers, Phillips, Bennett (unlucky mind), Gomis, Straker, Eastwood or Barnard.

I also feel we could do better than Straker in L1 (should we ever get there).

Auger, Laird, Payne & Njie are must keeps for me. This club has a fantastic youth academy and we should be placing more trust on some of these players and Ricky D.
 
I'd keep Payne, Laird and Straker, Payne has got a lot of potential and impressed when he's been given chances this season. I still feel Laird is one of our better players, and on recent form should be in the team in Timlin's place. Straker is Straker, but I think he deserves one more season, bring another wide player in to challenge him for his spot, but keep him as back up.
As for the youth players it's hard to say without having seen more of them, but given what we've heard about Chambers, Auger, Njie, I'd like to see them kept on. Smith is a waste of space, Ted can do his job next season on half the wage.
Phillips seems to be a little bit more off the pace every game, I love him but it might be best for both parties if he were to go. Bennett is a crock, and we can't afford that. Gomis still confuses me, but he doesn't seem to have convinced PB enough to force his way into the team so clearly can't do enough to get a new contract. As much as it pains me to say it, Freddy and Barney are both past it, too slow to be that damaging and would be lucky to get 10 goals between them in a season, we need to spend that money elsewhere.

Can you please do the full Agent Lomas on this and include the contract details for the loanees? if they have expiring contracts at their parent clubs and if not are they deemed youth brought on players for tribunal etc.:duh:
