Lockwood is the obvious answer. After spending three years sulking about being injured and not getting his big move, he came back with a vengeance last season. Better than he's ever been for us before. It's been a joy to watch him, to be honest - clearly the best left back in the bottom division, now hopefully the best left back in the third tier. We shall see...
Secondly we have Craig Easton. Box-to-box midfielder, scores goals, sets up goals, tackles, passes, runs around a lot. Put it this way, his form at the start of the season had us going "what the f*** is he doing here?" He'll make the Championship, with or without Orient.
Then you've got Mackie. Johnny Mackie. Johnny, Johnny. Johnny Johnny mackIE! Sorry, got a bit carried away there. He's like Barrett. But dirtier. And more mental.
Fourthly there's a guy called Aiden Palmer - pacy, tricky, can tackle, can pass, can head, can beat a man...not heard of him? That's because he's a left back (see above)
Made it into England's U-19s last season.
And finally there was Zakuani. Plays like Sol Campbell used to: Can't pass for toffee, but he defends like a mentalist. Plus he's (was) the second quickest player at Orient - no mean feat.
As for Garner - he's a decent keeper, for sure. Outstanding shot-stopper, flaps at crosses, saved five penalties, kicking terrible, not bad at coming out for one-on-ones. Better than Harrison, so he'll do me.
Zakuani's place in the 'Big Five' would probably go to Shane Tudor now, I'd guess. Complete tw&t, but I actually started feeling sorry for limited full backs up and down the country. Seems like Ling is starting to get the best our of this pint-sized enigma. 3rd quickest player at the club
That comprehensive enough?
