A Match to remember Chris Barker - Saturday 28 May 2022

About to leave to set up. Just wanted to thank people for their generosity whether that be through a donation made, volunteering or attending. Not to sound cliche or over the top but it really does restore a bit of faith when you see how many people are going out their way. Hope to see many of you there

Absolutely fantastic day, one that Barker deserved.

The man who once made me dream as a kid when he captained us to new Wembley for the first time ever.

The guy who had so much time for SUFC and the fans.

I wore the JPT final shirt to the game today, even if it was a bit small considering I was 12 when I got it!

Someone must have been cutting onions when they released the balloons pre-match... a great tribute. Hats off to everyone that made it happen.

There was a really genuine feeling about The Hall today and Richie Barker's words at the end were chokers.

Lovely to see so many special ex players out there.

The moment of the afternoon for me was when BBBC came off and a very loud, Male, voice shouted " I love you Barry"
The Big Man himself waved back shyly.
