Sincere thanks fellow Shrimpers for your contributions. After much deliberation I have decided to pose the following tomorrow night:
"Mr Fry, on the eve of a big day tomorrow I thought it appropriate to give you a Southend question. Not knowing quite where to start I asked my fellow fans on the Shrimperzone forum for help. Sadly, in such delicate company this evening [pause for the hairy arsed Chelmsford locals to catch up a bit], none of what was said is usable, but the following two-parter I think sums it up. First, which of the following led to you leaving Roots Hall, a) desire for money, b) temptations offered by Karen Brady, c) Vic Jobson's bad breath or d) your over-inflated ego? Second, and with the benefit of hindsight, did you throw away your best chance of managing in the top flight by walking out on Southend when you did?"
