Instead of sitting on my ar*e playing Football Manager all day, i'd actually quite like to do something decent with my life. Basically, I'm looking for some advice from the musicians/people in the know on a decent, yet affordable Acoustic Guitar.

Any advice?

PMT in southend , will do you a good deal on a nice acuostic. Plus of course you can go in a play with it first ;) . I got a Stagg for about £80 (couple of years back ) Steel string .

You'll propably need a tuner unless you have perfect pitch ;)

Take a trip into London if you can. Denmark St near Centre Point is full of guitar shops and also Zavvi (virgin megastore formerly) has a massive selection of instruments and you can practice. Really depends how much you want to spend and how serious. I would advise buy a semi-accoustic personally as you might feel the need to plug in at some point.
