Don’t think too much about it, just throw in the first few that really jump out from your personal World Cup memories. I’ll update the list as we go along.

A - Aldridge Substitution
B - Beckham’s sending off versus Argentina
C - Claudio Caniggia nearly getting killed by Cameroon
D - Dennis Bergkamp! Dennis Bergkamp! DENNIS BERGKAMP! DENNIS BERGKAMP! (v Argentina in 98)
E - England lifting the cup in 1966
F - Frank Lampard's disallowed 'goal' versus Germany
G - Gazza’s Tears
H - Hurst's Hattrick and the Russian Linesman
I - Iran beating the USA
J - Johan's Cruyff turn
K - The killing of Andres Escobar
L - Lineker’s hattrick versus Poland
M - Maradonna’s “Hand of God”
N - Nessun Dorma
O - Owen’s goal versus Argentina
P - Platt’s over the shoulder shot versus Belgium
Q - Qualification and laughing at Scotland as they perennially fail to do so.
R - Ronaldinho floating that kick over Seaman (or... the "25 year old" Roger Miller!)
S - Schumacher assault on Battiston
T - They Think It's All Over... it is NOW!
U - Uruguay's spectacular save by cannibal/goalkeeper Luis Suares
V - Van Persie's header versus Spain in 2014
W - Waddle's penalty miss against Germany
X - Xabi Alonso being cut in half by a Dutch karate kick
Y - Yellow cards and the three shown by Graham Poll to one player in the Croatia vs Conflicts game

Forget Zidane. Z should be Zaire defender running up and booting that free kick away

Also B should be Benjamin Massing’s tackle on Claudio Cannigia

Q- Qatar holds 2022 World cup

M- Moore lifting World cup (Not that cheating ****ing dwarf goal)

A-" Animals" as Sir Alf called the Argies in 1966 The weird stat on that game we committed 33 fouls and Argentina 19 (Not many people know that )

You’ve missed the two best moments from USA 94

A - Aldridge substitution

D- Diana Ross penalty

Czech Ladislav Petras crossing himself after scoring against Brasil in the 1970 World Cup Finals in Mexico ..

I've covered the Massing tackle with C, bearing in mind it was three different players who tried to nail him.

Whatever the letter, it’s a cracking shout.

Zinedine Zidane retains the double Z and C is perfect for the Cannigia assault.
