Here's a teaser.

Can anyone tell me when both Ardiles & Brooking both turned out for SUFC?

I actually have the matchday programme to prove it!

Yes, i remember it. I think it was the first time i had ever seen the 10 men behind the ball all push up whilst defending a free kick in order to catch all blues players offside. I vaguely remember the crowd applauding what a well rehearsed move! Can't remember the result though!

1-2 with Brooking scoring for the Shrimpers!!

If i remember rightly they palyed in purple....and wore tracksuit bottoms as well as it was cold!

Ardiles didn't play, but Graham Roberts played instead of him.

Remember it well it was played on a Sunday morning in 1985 and I think the crowd might have been around 2000 which was one of our highest crowds of the season that year!
