Baby Taken 'From Womb' by Essex Social Services

There was a subsequent statement from ESS which cleared a lot of things up. Clearly a very unwell mother and a difficult situation to resolve

What I'm not happy with is that the child is now (I believe) 15 months or so old, yet is still being fostered here in Essex. Shouldn't the baby have gone to Italy for adoption, does the woman have no family, is there no father involved? I'm not comfortable with the fact that our Social Services have stepped in and made all the decisions here for a non national. I'm not comfortable with the whole thing, to be honest.

Ok, the lady may have been extremely mentally unwell, but I'm sure there must have been other options. Women who have been involved in car accidents have been kept under sedation and delivered their babies without invasive surgery for instance. Of course we don't know all the facts and are unlikely to, but all seems very wrong to me.
