Southend - fan's view

Considering their side has spent the last six seasons in the bottom flight's bottom half, Southend fans cannot wait for the season to start.
Most of them didn't want last season to end: Conference-bound cloggers became promotion-bound cup heroes.
The club's first cup final ended in defeat and the team finished in 17th, but a corner had been turned.
Now Steve Tilson, the man credited with last year's improvement, must lead the club to promotion.
