There should be a poll - who have had really great home debuts for us? Especially after last night's heroics from Belford.

Obviously, Collymore, Eastwood.

Who else?

Richard Cadette 4 goals against Orient.
Barrie Delf local goalkeeper brought in at the last minute due to injuries helped us to a 3-1 over Sheffield United.

Has to be Richard Cadette. 4 goals on your first appearance at Roots Hall?

Jon O'Brien, local park goalkeeper came in during a goalkeeping crisis and kept a clean sheet in an FA Cup tie. Maybe against Yeovil Town??????? Back at work in the Access office at Priory Park on the Monday!

Great minds etc.....!! Not only a 4 goal debut but against your former club too

Richard Cadette surely tops the list.

either him or Tony Currie

Ahhh Tony Currie!!
I think that "appearance/warm up" was against Millwall.
It was sad to meet the player himself after the game. Obviously, I knew of Tony Currie as one of those talented mavericks with long hair and good looks..a la George Best. He was in The Shrimpers after the game which we won 3-2 ...an absolute cracker. "great game eh Tony"..I said. He looked at me as though I was from Mars and slurred "didn't watch that crap, was in here".

Its pretty hard to beat scoring after 7 seconds and then going on to get a hat-trick, tough one to call between Eastwood and Cadette I would say!

Gareth Risbriger ? Rio Alderton ?

Always gonna be Richard Cadette , ahead of Freddie Eastwood & Barry Hunter

Didn't Simon Royce make his debut in our 1-0 win over West Ham? He had an excellent game that night.

I think Laurent's first start was that match against Leeds, and what a game that was. Shame about the rest after that.

I'm pretty sure it was his home debut. However he did play and score the previous week at Doncaster away which was his actual debut for the club.

Ah, my specialist subject 1968-69 !

Home debut was against Doncaster. Overall debut at Port Vale !

Didn't Ben Abbey score 2 goals coming off the bench for his debut? It depends if you mean full debut or not because Eastwood had already made a substitute appearance before the Swansea match.

Thanks Mick. I knew he made his debut away but could've sworn it was against Donny. I should have checked the SUFCDB first. However I was right that he scored on his home debut, but not the match I thought, so that negates the "special" home debut, which I will leave to Richard Cadette.
