For hairs on the back of the neck stuff " Sixth Sense". The one I dont actually like was "White noise" although not a true horror, it scared the bejesus out of me!
 
Oh, and someone ought to nominate Stephen King's "It". That's f***ing terrifying. And "Misery". King has done some lovely films in his time, hasn't he?!

And the original of "The Hitcher", another hugely suspensful film.
