Biscuit question?

Does anyone know why have some biscuits (for example Rich Tea, Digestive, Bourbon Creams) got small holes drilled in them yet others (for example Nice, Malted milk, Custard creams) do not?

so air can escape during the baking process? ( but for some reason only those biscuits )
 
To help the weevils burrow into them when they have been left in your pantry for several years.

Hmmm good question but whenever I buy a packet of malted milks (The King of all biscuits) I'm amazed by the beauty of the cow inprints on the biscuit!

Why didn't you just say you wanted to cover her with (love) custard creams!
 
So i was walking down bourbon cream street the other day and saw this ginger nut.He looked kinda Italian so i asked him "oi mate whats yer name"?He replied Garibaldi.He looked sick i said you ok? He told me he had a digestive problem.The jammy dodger had just missed being hit by a wagon wheel and nearly ended up looking like squashed flies...........
