At the end of the day, Tom, he's a *****. In my opinion, this thing won't get finished and under Ron martin, things won't get any better. And they won't get any worse under anyone else, either. Ron Martin staying in control, at this moment in time, is absolutely NOT in the best interests of this football club. Obviously, if it did transpire that he WAS the best chance, and there was hardcore evidence to back that up without the lies, spin and BS, then it might be different. He would have my heartfelt apologies if it comes off and he gets this club on a decent financial footing. But it's not going to happen, in my opinion.

I think you should at least star out that allegation, James. And my worry is that people have made this such a personal thing that they are starting to ignore the evidence and just go with their feelings, and with something as important as our Football club, I think that is a very dangerous way to go.

It is starting to look as if this thing might very well get finished, and the switch of stance of the Trust (after, note, having talks with Sainsbury's property department and the consortium) I think speaks volumes. And saying "they won't get worse under anyone else either" is pretty naive - they could be considerably worse, and many a football club has found that the Rescuer coming over the hill has left their club in a worse state than when they arrived. Check out Notts County, and how close they were to being totally screwed by their "Arab" investors.

I can see where you're coming from, Tom. You know that this has got an element of 'personal feeling' for myself and my family. But that has never and will never change my stance. I take my stance based on evidence/knowledge, and my evidence/knowledge tells me firmly that several people at the top of that football club, not just Ron Martin, are not to be trusted. I have only made my opinion based on the evidence I have and the knowledge I have of what has been going on/is going on, not personal feeling.

I'm also not expecting anyone to feel the same as me, everyone is entitled to his/her own opinions, and not everybody feels that they have enough evidence to make a sound judgement either way. But I do, and I have, and I stick by it.

I am more than a bit sceptical about the outcome of the Trust's 'discussions' with Sainsbury's and the Consortium, as well as the depth of digging that the Trust have done. Have the Trust spoken to the Consortium recently? Or was that last November when this all kicked off?

If you read the newsletter you'd find out.

To be honest people will take it personally for as long as they see someone dragging their team that they have invested emotion, blood, sweat, time and money into being unceremoniously dragged through the gutter.

That aside, I would say it's been made more personal by Ron himself, with the continual lies and smokeshields he continually insults the fans intelligence with.
