TIMOTHEE Dieng insists Southend United’s squad are excited by the names being linked with the managerial role.

Be happier if the squad said they were prepared to work (stress that last word......) as a cohesive unit and prove their worth to whoever comes in rather than just be 'excited'.

About time they started performing on the pitch otherwise the new incoming manager is going to make changes.

Get excited about that from the bench / stands

Great news that one of the biggest donkeys in the squad is excited. I’m excited that someone is coming in to hopefully get rid of at least 6 of them in January.

If they’re so bad.....and playing for a team that’s so bad and apparently Conference level....just who on earth do you think is going to come and take them? Do you even understand how it all works?

Still without new managerial news Chris Phillips goes chasing for newspaper copy namely players voicing their views of the 'big names' potentially coming in. Timothee Dieng gets the poison chalice of the Echo interview and bigs up the 'names'. Its a non story but what did you all expect Dieng to say? 'We don't give a flying **** about the names and they can all **** down a drain for all we care'? Come on everyone, the side is struggling, we all know that but there really ain't a lot of point castrating Dieng simply because he did the interview.

While we all bow down to your superior knowledge captain smug bollocks, I really don’t mind if they are paid off and contracts cancelled or loaned out to teams at more appropriate level - clearly we need to do something drastic to change what is going on and to try and turn the tide.

??????

Oh yeah that’s how it works - pay them off a few £thousand for no return or ask them to go and play for who? Bromley? Ebsfleet? ?‍♂️?‍♂️ Cos obviously they’d agree to do that and put a conference team on their CV.....

Instead of just leaving at the end of the season and taking a nice signing on fee to replace the fact that no one had to fork out a transfer fee....

All because “Smudger” thinks they’re ****.

Never forgive 'Judas' for how he lied to us & walked out.
But the enthusiasm & passion he showed on the touchline, is sadly something we miss today?.
Plus the players responded to it.
Have to agree Judas and not a fan.
His passion can't be denied, remember a documentary where they followed him as manager of Posh, Cameras followed him into th dressing room at half time as laid into the players saving his best rant directly at his skipper Mick Bodley accusing him of waving the white flag.
Have to find it as absolute quality.

Jesus Dieng has only just come back, let’s slag the bloke off that will help him settle back into the team. Some right clueless mugs that masquerade as supporters in this club.

Dieng was actually one of our best players on Saturday, his distribution was brilliant

That’s exactly the problem.

He was good on Saturday and he is a good footballer but the effort is very, very rarely there.

Happy if I never saw him again.
