Agreed. It's not some terrible injustice that's been done, it's two match officials making an error.

What I like is that there has been an admittance that the error occurred. It would be easy to keep it all hush hush at the FA and reprimand from within, but making it public actually humanises it and makes it a good thing.

The key is not that the error was made, but that it improves communication in a similar situation in the future. In that respect, washing it in public is a healthy thing, as we all get to see that people aren't infallible under pressure.

In short : More of it in future. It's good for the game!

Yes but we only lost by a small margin and the officials didn’t really know what waving a a big red flag would actually mean.
