There may be some truth in the discord story, but usually in a group of 20+ young men there will be some that don't get on together as best of buddies.
However, IMO, a simpler reason could be that PB has learn't from other loan experiences and so have other clubs that have players we might want; the player (coming to the Hall) will want to be playing and there needs to be a realistic chance of that. Before Cian left (and Luke) another CB (Rea for example?) might not have got a run in the side AND so player and club(s) might be hesitant.
Now, when we get an injury PB has names and loans lined up AND that CB will be along PDQ and get a more than fair shot at it with all parties (other than the injured/suspended lad) being happier with the loan than previously.
Maybe PB is getting the loan idea sussed?
