HMRC issued a winding up order, to be held on 20/3

Greater Manchester police are looking to appoint a debt collector to recover what they are owed.

Saw on linkedin that one Debt collector has received Twitter abuse from fans for offering his services...

Are Forest Green pursuing them for breach of promise too?
BW have been a mess for so many years when financially they ought to be okay on their crowds and new ground surely?

Apparently there is a take over in place , I wonder if they will go into administration ( they looked doomed already so the 10 points will seal it without going over to next season ), then use the CVA to drive down the debts the new owner has to pay , leaving more in the kitty to push for promotion back next season ? Dodgy practice , I know , but allowed.
GM police , and their other debtors , could get left short ....

Basket-case of a club. Gross financial mismanagement and incompetence under a man, Ken Anderson, who had previous on that score.

Players and staff haven't been paid and have asked the PFA for assistance....

"A Bolton statement, issued to BBC Radio Manchester in response, said: "We are disappointed that the players have taken this course of action. However, we will continue to have ongoing dialogue with them."

Doesn't sound like a happy environment for the players. Can't see them putting in a proper shift against Sheff Wed on Tuesday night.

Players have gone on strike and have refused to show up for training, after not being paid again.

Also, Boltons next two home games currently will have to be played in an empty stadium in the basis of safety concerns.

Got to feel a little bit for the Brentford fans that have travelled up north today, and then this notice comes out at the last minute.

That being said, I reckon the fixture will still go ahead, Bolton will probably just field a group of teenagers instead of a first team.

Game has been postponed now.
So what happens? Surely they forfeit the game and will be fined. Contractually they are obliged to field a team by the FL? Stupid thing, which I heard on Radio 5 is that they would have been fined if they played their u18 side as FL rules also state that you cannot make any more than 7 or 8 changes from the previous game.

Farcical!

Bolton have been a financial mess for years. Question is why have the EFL let them continue operating in such a manner until it got to this stage. Their proposed new owner hasn't the greatest of credentials either.

This is the downside of having a multi Millionaire owner fan financing a club. Eddie Davies is reported to have put in 170 Million Pounds to his beloved Bolton. Lovely for the club, fans and staff when someone like that is willing to pump money into it with no hope of getting any back. But when this person finally pulls the plug, it all goes pear.

They’ve been ordered by the EFL board to play their two remaining fixtures.

If they go into administration they'll forfeit thed final game apparantly. They could be staring down the barrel of going out of business.

Perhaps best to stick them down into NL to re-build back up again and on a sensible and sustainable financial footing even if it takes several years to regain an EFL place.
