In spite of me vaguely defending our form in another thread, I've just noticed that Bournemouth are marginally ahead of us in the form guide having picked up 12 point compared to our 11 in the last 8.

More notably, we've both scored 14 and they're only conceded one more goal than us in their last 8 (13).

I said it for Hartlepool (a bit tight that one!), I said it for Millwall (less tight) and I'm saying it again - O2.5 goals looks great value for this game as we're going at 3.25 goas per game and they're going at 3.37.

The only thing that qualifies this a bit is that we've been a bit stingier at home recently but with a makeshift defence out we're going to need to score a few as Bournemouth have won 2 out of their last 5 away games.

Let's hope Macca and Bailey have their shooting boots on then! ;)

Agreed! It always seems as though a team is on the verge of poor form when all the goals are coming from range. I think we need Barnard back as a top priority.

We looked a much poorer side without him on Tuesday. Constantly scoring screamers looks good and gets the fans going, but when that's all you can score (see last season :p) then it's very worrying indeed!

He did play on Saturday :)

Have to say without him we do seem to be looking at hoping our midfielders score, but to be honest Im still not convinced Barnard is the threat most think he is, although I have been impressed with his running etc so far.

Unfortunately with these niggly injuries he isnt getting the run to prove himself.

Saturday will be a good chance for our strikers to prove themselves, if we cant fancy ourselves at home to Bournemouth then we really have no hope.
