You're all overlooking the reason why we have played so badly in the last 2 games, Payne has been played too deep. Brown has to recognise this and put it right. As for Barnett he didn't look great before the injury on Sat and Hunt was poor when he came on.

Loza looks sharp but has to cut out the play acting whenever he gets touched.

Brown also needs to keep his mouth shut, he announced what formation and how we would be playing days before the match, why can't he just shut up or if he has to make such public announcements then lie, say we are going 4-4-2, to tell them exactly how we will set up is madness.
To be fair it wouldn't take a genius Scunthorpe manager to work out we were going to play 3-5-2 - we'd won our last 3 games playing that formation. I think if Brown come out and said we're playing 4-4-2 mid week the Scunny manager would have seen through it.

I live about 2 miles from the ground, we had snow last night and it is freezing!

Forecast for tomorrow, -1 overnight with temperature climbing to 4 degrees at midday.

Your are right. The BBC website is now showing the temperature for the game as a mild plus 3 degrees ............. I don't know where the minus 5 degrees went to ........................:stunned: :stunned: :stunned:

Please stop playing 5 at the back and an ultra defensive midfielder who is not allowed to venture forward.

Hopefully Southend will skate to another away win:smile:

Don't think the league will let us play with 12 somehow

Happened well down the leagues once, team played with 12 and no-one noticed. Ended in a draw, and when the team realised what they had done and confessed their opponents declined to complain on the grounds that they had expected to lose, and were happy with the draw.

Safe travel for the brave souls travelling up here very cold forecast for tonight but game isn't under threat as yet but will gladly log in and post if we get any notice it is

we have had a bit of a up and down season more to do with finding a settle 11 with the right partnerships in midfield and up top , January allowed us to ship out two first teamers but replaced with much better quality - we have the choice between 5 fit strikers who have all scored recently

Hanson- who will start and will partner one of Proctor,Billy Clarke,Wes Thomas or Steve Davies

Cant see Thomas not getting a start he's the type of player who can read Hanson and the partnership looks to have potential
we haven't scored loads this season but we don't tend to ship goals either so might be a tight affair

City 1 Sarfend 0

Atkinson should get a warm reception he came good for us after remembering which sport he was playing

Well he started off thinking the football was likely to explode or hurt him in some way- it took a while but I think someone had a word and he began to play football

Spot on 'Ayrshire', possibly swap Timlin for Wordsworth, maybe, but that's a 50/50 call.

I'd also push Payne up alongside Barnett.
