Not the most exciting game I have seen but the 2 early goals led to a rather stress free 90 minutes that followed.

The minute silence was impeccably observed and most of the Morecambe crowd continued that silence for the remainder of the match. :winking:

A good performance by everyone on the pitch and there did not seem any need for substitutes. 1 good save from Bentley but otherwise very little to do except deal with some corners.

Special mention goes to Coker for tireless running up and down the left side, Straker for his 2 goals, 3 man Corr (a striker, midfielder and defender rolled into one person) and Hurst for his cunning crosses.

Man of the match just goes to Leonard who deserved a goal for his attacking runs and intelligent play.

Wasn't there but absolutely delighted at Lenny getting a hugely deserved goal.

Leonard certainly played well and is looking very effective in central midfield.A 21 he is only going to improve and it was nice to see him grab a goal at the end.Him Timlin and Attkinson never let Morecambe bully us in the middle which normally happens up there.

Great result, average performance. Rob Kiernan looked more comfortable than I've seen him before - he and Prosser had a much better understanding than their first outing at Burton.

Perhaps you have the wrong game,
Kiernan partnered Philips at Burton
