Saturday's match at Bristol Rovers will be officiated by Karl Evans from Manchester. He is in his second season and has refereed neither team before.

He is an official I have never seen and know little about so I can only give you statistics rather than opinion.

He has refereed 28 League matches which have produced 67 yellow and 4 red cards ... so fairly average there, especially as 12 of the cards were in his first two matches.

Highlights of his short career include upsetting both teams at Notts Forest v Charlton this season and sending off Billy Paynter last season.

Assisting will be Simon Barrow from Stafford and Andy Hendley (West Midlands). Jim Cox from Worcester is 4th official.

How do you find out this information? Is there a website you can access to see which ref is at which game? Where is that b*stard Kettle this week exactly? Wouldn't even let him run the line in a kids match, that's for sure....:headbang:
