Loss for me, I've seen nothing in recent games to indicate the team is prepared to fight hard for the a Play Off spot. Other teams just seem hungrier than us at the moment.

We're hitting bad form at a bad time which unfortunately I can only see the play-offs getting further and further away. IF that does happen it will be a massive shame considering the fantastic run we have been on over the past 20+ games whilst at times playing some excellent football.

I can only see us losing on Saturday although of course I hope I am wrong. After such a good run maybe I am expecting too much but on Saturday I was very disappointed but the lack of quality and also many big players not showing up. Wordsworth performance was the biggest down side for me as he didn't want the ball and when he did get it he couldn't complete simple passes all game long. We all know he's better than that. We need our big players to stand up and make the end of the season a good one and see where it gets us.

Without any up dates from the club, (or CP, or spies at training), I hope PB has an almost full, fit squad to select from.

I don't expect any changes from the back 4 line up and GK.

The midfield was, IMO, the main failure on Saturday; but I don't think there will be too much change with MacL starting alongside Woody, Lenny and Willo so we have some width and runners into space. Woody and MacL being more active forward than defense minded. Tims, McG or Amos to replace any who don't "show" well.
If Ranger is fit then he will start with Cox, if not then Theo and Cox: with MAF replacing whoever gets tired/injured.

I expect PB has spent days trying to erase the slow slow side side mentality AND away from home on a large pitch, on the counter attack, they will know the plan.

That is me, nailed my flag to the mast!

How about some of the "post match hindsight" experts/PB knockers giving their ideas some type? or is that not the way?

PB will probably start with one winger. Either of the Macs. Back four and GK same barring injuries.
Fortune and Cox up front if both fit.

Ranger, Robinson to come on for either of the forwards, and one of the Macs barring injuries or any cards.

Do any of you guy`s know if we can buy tickets on the gate for the Bristol Rovers game ? Coming up from Cornwall, so hope our luck will change for this one.

Haven't seen/heard anything otherwise, so can't imagine it being an issue!

Tough game this one, has score draw written all over it

Really need the 3 points though or we lose touch, so we need a 'Peterborough performance' and more width this time !

What happened to Hines? Never got a look in really?

I agree 3 points on Saturday followed by a point on Tuesday against Coventry and I'll be happy with that return.

I think that the appointment of Robins at Coventry, even though it's far too late to save them, could bring about an upturn in form.

UTB!

Agreed - Coventry have been close to getting some wins under their belt so it could be that some tweaking and additional motivation could make all the difference - let's see how they get on at home to Bradford this weekend. Bradford have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 games.

We should gain at least a point on Saturday. One win in their past seven games doesn't bode well for Rovers versus our hungry forwards......

We recently went into battle with the draw specialists, Gillingham, and lost. I see us turning up and playing these boys off the park in a dominant 3-1 win.

Yes but they have not lost in 8 including playing 4 of the top 5 and only conceded 4 goals in those 8 games. Nil-nil or one-all all over it.

Bristol Rovers have drawn 4 of their last 5 games, but had a good 2-0 win over Oxford last Saturday. They currently sit in 10th place in FL1, 3 points behind the Blues, so it's probably time for Southend to step on the GAS I think.

It will be interesting to see what the master tactician does with the midfield, as he certainly has a lot to think about in that area.

I'm going for:

Smith

Demetriou Thompson Ferdinand Coker

Atkinson Lenny Timlin MsLaughlin

Cox Ranger (if fit, or Robinson, if not).

Sounds right if fit (although if Ranger isn't fit then Fortune rather than Robinson needs to play).

Subs Bexon, White, Amos, McGlashan, Bridge, Robinson, Fortune

1-1 written all over it for me. Hopefully i'm wrong and we will take all 3 points away. I would be happy with a point though.

But 3 points is a must though at Coventry to make up for the recent unfortunate results at Port Vale & Gillingham.

Ranger's training with the squad on Instagram so guess he's fit.

Has he ever been fit??

Heard that Ranger is not the best trainer at the club and that is a major reason why he keeps getting these niggly injuries.

Hope they get sorted as we need Ranger on the pitch - not in the treatment room.
