I'm sure if we'd been comfortably winning 2 or 3 nil Phil Brown would've brought at least one on but with the game at 0-0 I can see why he opted for more experienced subs today. If they keep impressing in youth team games and on the training field then they'll get their chance sooner or later.

Can't help but think it's bad form to say they'd be involved and then not play them. Should've just said that they'll be in the squad.

Surely instead of bringing on Kevan Hurst five minutes before the end Brown could have put one of the kids on, if even just to give them a taste of the atmosphere? What exactly was there to lose by doing that?

If you are going to make calims about "them definitely being involved" either play them or don't actually say it in the first place.
