Thought I'd start this week. I am punching slightly above my weight in second at home to third today and a win would seal V status next season. As it is so tight any defeat needs to be close to maintain best NRR in the division.

I only lost the away fixture by 8 runs and it is really down to their one devastating bowler and whether or not he is forced to rest a couple. Opted against playing my new fast bowler on the dusty strip so a combination of spinners and seamers it is. Will try newbie out on Sunday. Expecting records receipts for this one.

Bot-bashing today, but playing a relatively strong squad as most of them were rested for FC. Changing a few things around- Harmless is opening both the bowling and batting in an attempt to finally get his XP above worthless.

Advice needed as Middleton isn't fit to play. I'm on a H+F today with Humid weather, would you play a FM or M ? I've gone for the M at the moment, but I know they can go for a few on H+F.

personally i'd go for the M (or a spinner if you have one), my experience has been that the quicker bowlers suffer more on H and F unless they're highly skilled.

****!

0.1 1 Collymore to Govender
That deserved to be a boundary but an athletic stop by Hulse at gully has kept it to a single. Great fielding!

That should be Barrowdale!

playing a rival who's beaten me twice recently. good start though

Welcome to Treetops Avenue for the match between Napster's XI and Yorkshire Tykes.

We can tell you that Yorkshire Tykes won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

0.4 W Allan to Khotso
Beautiful inswinger! Takes a thin inside edge and collides with leg stump, marvellous stuff.
0.3 . Allan to Khotso
Full outside off stump, firmly driven straight to cover.
0.2 1 Allan to Walker
Just a short arm jab, back past the bowler for one.
0.1 1 Allan to Khotso
Tentative poke and no footwork, the ball squirts into the leg side.

Ashampstead v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Went with the medium-pacer in the end. Need to keep them below 270 if poss.

DIBS DIPPERS v Nineone ACC

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this sunny day.

Mrs BB has a weakened side out today as well, Eagles not being fit enough.

Edit - Mrs BB obviously just had a change of heart as Eagles is bowling the 2nd over.

Bowling first against a batting-dominant side. Anything under 300 I should chase, but want them all out for under 250.

Good start, an early wicket and low RR

Collymore 6-0-41-1
Gittens* 10 (12 balls)

Gooding is totally flummoxed by that one.
