BT - Season 9 wages and 1st round Cup Draw

I've got a team lacking in depth first up in FC, would've rather had them with more tired players though. Got the worst team in the league first in OD - must win game.

Thing that annoyed me is that you've got Griffith (who is what, remarkable?) who managed to survive 11 overs of Suthers and Cook, both FM's on a cracked pitch. Yet Cunningham who is almost exceptional gets taken out for a duck by Ramsden who can't be more much than remarkable with the batting skill thrown in.

If our much vaunted bowling attack can't remove openers like Finnan and Griffith on our home turf who are the sort of level of batsman I'd expect to face in III then we're going to struggle.

Well if you choose to play on a cracked pitch, you need to make sure your players have the tools to make the most of it. Griffiths has exceptional concentration and Ramsden has wonderful consistency.

How attacking were Sutherland and Cook?

I think you're lacking the star player to make that difference to get to Level III. Jackman and Titterton are good but you really need an exceptional+ in your team to put in those match winning performances against eth higher teams.

Too true. Selling Tapp and bringing in a 10+ million batter is a possibility, at the end of this coming season!

They were set to attacking. Sutherland has exceptional consistency and Cook has wonderful so not much difference there.

I think the ratings show that the result was probably a little more one sided than it should have been, the main difference of course is the batting. Though Plummer contributed to our record high feeble lower order!

Got probably my toughest FC game to start with so might have to put out the 1st team for that, then at home to Royston Vasey, who are good but suffer PFL probs with their bowlers. So overall, could have been easier !

My 1st FC game is against a BOT team, who were a real team last season and gave me good run, so I am presuming if I get past this fixture then my last game should be a breeze as their stamina will be shot. Also we have a BOT from II, so just need to keep an eye on the guys who promoted. My aim this year is promotion from FC III. Also OD safety will do me.

Got someone with a great OD squad that has given up the game but will still be much too strong for me in my opener. FC is a breeze for me and starting off with the first of many bots I might just GFI the OD anyway as the next OD after that is a bot too.

Why only attacking? If you want wickets, go very attacking.

What did we all do in the daytime before FC came along ? This between season break is far too long. I am guessing that the group 2020s half way through next season are designed to reduce the break in future.

I've checked and rechecked my orders for cup and first FC about a dozen times now.

He's anything between 1 and 4 weeks from Respectable bowling, so I suppose 2 bowling nets and a Stamina net would see him at Comp Stamina, Strong Bowling, Proficient Cons by the end of the season, what would he go for then ?
