If you listen to Nicky interview after the game he said something like "He clipped my foot, I felt I could of stayed on my feet, but you have got to go down in them situations!"

I do. I feel gutted now.

Nicolau went down easily. That is different to a dive. If a defender waves his foot out like that in the box then he only has himself to blame. There was contact, whereas a dive implies there was none.

The others I agree with, but as I have said in the ratings thread, I think Sabins evens out last years one at your place.

Still, we have played you 5 times, won 4 and drawn 1. We finished 4th and you finished 7th. We have probably deserved it overall.

Good luck for next season. Hopefully we'll meet up again in 2006/7 - in league one!

We do feel fortunate. But we have had some awful luck recently (of our last 6 games before today we have failed to win 5 of them and apart from Oxford away deserved at least a draw from the other 4) and it had to change sometime

I know you can never take it when it is against you it is football. Two weeks ago we were all Discussing that we were robbed by pitch invasions etc.
I also felt we should have had a penalty when Eastwood went down at Grimsby but unfortantly for you guys that is the way it goes.
Next week it could be our turn to moan at an official. I am a ref and I will be assisting a final down at Roots Hall tomorrow. I could make a shocking decision and ruin someones day. Unfortantly it is all part of the job.

but Jonny we had a 100% cast iron penalty for hand ball 3 feet inside the box against Scunthorpe given 3 feet outside the box by a blind ref and linesman. If we'd notched that which we would have that would have been 2 extra points and no playoff. It's true when they say it all evens out in the end.
