Capital One Cup Final

It does mean that The Black Cats will be in European thingy league next season too. Maybe the Mancs won't!

Yes they will, unless they lose and Man City somehow fail to qualify for Europe. Although this changes from the 2015/16 season:

In October 2013, UEFA announced that from the 2015-16 season, finishing runner-up would no longer qualify teams for European Competitions should the winner otherwise qualify and instead the places in Europe would be awarded based on league position.

No they won't. Only if they beat City. Thats how Swansea qualified for Europe. I do however remember reading somewhere that Bradford's chairman said that if they beat Swansea in last year's final, he would have said NO to European football...

He would have had no choice. You have to be in the Premiership or Championship to be in Europe.

Hense the year we lost to Spurs in the 1/4 final, and the other semi finalists all finished in the top 4, we wouldn't have been in Europe the next year if we had beaten Spurs anyway becuase we were relegated from the Championship.

Where did you get that from?

I'm pretty sure it is only the winner or the runner up that can get into Europe and doesn't go to the semi-finalists.
