Chick Flicks it's OK for guys to like

All the recent chat about the SitC movie has made me think what "chick flicks*" are acceptable to us males.

Over the years, I've seen a fair few of them (that's what having a Cineworld £10 a month cinema pass did for you) and there are definitely certain ones that men can enjoy.

Off the top of my head, I'd have to say some of my best ones are: -

Muriel's Wedding
One Fine Day
Sleepless in Seattle
The Holiday

And even begrudgingly as I so wanted to hate it, Love Actually.

* - before the thread diversion starts, "chick flick" means the regular meaning of it, not an excuse for people to wax lyrical about some of the more "specialist" films they enjoy! ;)

I know loads of guys that have seen the Bridget Jones films and grudgingly enjoyed them, even found them quite funny!

Stardust is very good, I have to say.

I tell you wasn't isn't good though. Anything with Jennifer Lopez in. Jesus wept, if I ever have to watch her mumbling her way through a script so hackneyed that Coronation St would reject on the grounds that it was a bit weak, I'll beat myself into the warm embrace of unconciousness.

I have to admit I quite liked Love Actually, there was another one I was made to sit through once. It had Lindsay Lohan and McFly in it, that was ok but mainly because Lohan was still fit back then.

I've seen the first Bridget Jones film and didnt really like it much so didnt bother with the second.

i thought coyote ugly was a bit of a chick flick but a decent film. not mentioned on that list tho.

Romeo and Juliet if only for radiohead being on the soundtrack

Matty, help!!!
I must have serious issues, I'm starting to like the new Duffy single too.
What's the matter with me, liking that & posting about "chick flicks"?

It's obviously just your feminine side coming to the fore Rich - had a good cry lately?! ;)

Mean Girls is a great film if only for Lindsey Lohan, agree with stardust too, watched it on a plane last Christmas expecting to hate it but it wasn't too bad.
