Chick Flicks it's OK for guys to like

For Me it would be:

4 Weddings & a Funeral
Love Actually
Sliding Doors

Sliding Doors is mine 7 the G/f's film, as it was one of the first films we ever saw at the pictures together. We both unknowingly bought the DVD for each other at Christmas!

The fight scenes in the two Bridget Jones films are good, especially the 2nd one! The rest of the film is OK-ish!

Losing. Will. To. Live...............

I've got nothing against romantic films! I've can quite happily wallow in them but only if they're any good and don't follow the bog standard plot of;

Boy & Girl meet but for some reason they can't be together.
Stuff happens.
They get together.
Film ends.

Include either a cute child/animal/wacky friends/family and it's a cash cow.

You need to go out with somebody other than your right hand!! ;) :p

I would never sit down with the intention of watching a chick flick, but sometimes there are films you watch with your special person (not hand!) and enjoy. 4 Weddings us one of my all time favourite films, but I love typically British comedies. We watch 4 Wedding the other night & the G/f had to tell me to shut up (nothing new there!) as I was reciting nearly all the lines as they happened!

I know its sad, but BOVVERED!!

Not really a true chick flick in the sense but am amazed that none of you have said Disney's bambi now that is a tear jerker.

Good romantic films:

In The Mood for Love.
The Eternal Sushine of the Spotless Mind (shut up Pubey).
Atonement
Amelie

But mate, you've missed the point here, they aren't what would be termed "chick flick" per se, especially Eternal Sunshine & Amelie, which are just excellent pieces of indie cinema.

Hmmm, I guess. But I can't abide stereotypical boy meets girl toss of mainstream chick flicks any more than the stereotypical guns, car chases and Jason Statham/Danny Dyer blokefests either.

This film is awesome. Girls love it. It's now my dream to go to Milwaukee and just walk into a bar and see what happens.

If you're ugly (i.e. Chadded) this is probably a good idea too.

That part of the film cracked me up. The fact that a guy in search of beautiful women would travel to Wisconsin is a bit odd.

How the flip is Tomb Raider a chick flick?

There's a Cheerleader film with Kirsten Dunst in that I can never remember the name of that I remember being pretty funny. Mind you, if it's got Kirsten Dunst in, I'll watch any old ****e.

Never seen Bridget Jones but I hope to god it's better than the book. Dull, self-obsessed, "I'm so fat, nobody loves me" drivel.
