Heard on Saturday that Oxley kept 16 clean sheets last season - equivalent to 1/3 of our league season. 10 (2/3ish) of those clean sheets were under SCP, which was essentially just the final third of the season. Exciting for next season to think we are twice as likely to keep a clean sheet under SCP than we were with PB last season, especially if we start banging in goals...

SCP got the balance about right. A good team attitude to defending but with genuine intent going forward. For a number of seasons, when the team attacked, they looked unconvincing and I mostly thought the move would break down and it invariably did. Under SCP that has changed. The less you press, the more you are countered and the weight of onslaughts, under Brown, resulted in goals against and nothing in the for column.

Not relevant to this thread particularly, but SCP is on SKY covering the Chelski game tonight.

On the clean sheets, I think we defend better as a unit now, under SCP. The full-backs priority is to defend first and attack when it's safe to go forward and Dru/Tims or Mantom shores up in front of the back four more than when we just played Lenny there.

It's a very similar set-up to the side SCP played in under Webby, where Dave Martin and Peter Butler did those roles.
