Flicking through the TV channels last night I came across a documentary about American conjoined twins the Shappell (sp.?) sisters. I have seen these twins on TV before, and overall it is quite a sad story - although they seek no sympathy whatsoever.

Basically, they are conjoined at the head and share 30% of brain tissue.

They are not facing each other so have never seen one another except through mirrors. One also suffers from spina bifida and as a result is unable to walk. And this is the crux of the issue that was circulating through my mind whilst watching the programme. The one with spina bifida is around half the size of her sister and is wheeled about by her sister on what basically equates to a trolley.

Now, my question is what would the rules be about these two if they headed off (no pun intended) to Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, and a particular ride had a height restriction that meant the taller of the two could ride, but the other could not? Would they both be excluded from the ride because one is under the height restriction, or is there some sort of rule that would mean that conjoined twins count as one?
