I spoke to Screech at the Trust awards. There's a bit on it here

We just activated the clause in his contract, he didn't really have a say in the matter but he seemed happy enough to be here.

Oh, I'm not doubting it. It's just there has been no word from SUFC that he has signed. Just from Tilly and Screech himself and that was in May I think. A lot has changed since...

I agree. I'll feel 100% assured when I see his picture on the OS, pen in hand. But Crawford's deal was signed a while before it was announced on the OS.

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question - or if it has been asked in another thread - at what point can a player walk away from a pre contract agreement? What conditions are in the contractss (are they standard? / each one individually negotiated?) Depending on the conditions in the agreement if I was a player I might be starting to get a bit nervous that I'd have a team next season.
 
This thread has been replaced by Smiffys The Squad one in essence, so i'm going to sticky that and this one will fade away in time
