play-off final against Southend, on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend, we would take 25,000 no problem!

In fact, considering we took around 20,000 to the FA bleedin' TROPHY final in 1992, I'd be disappointed with less than 30,000!!

You guys are always ripping it out of our small crowds, but give us a big arena and it's amazing what crawls out of the woodwork.

It's the same for all of us Tr0ublegum, get a big game and it's amazing how many will take the trouble to turn up - and welcome, too, today's Glory Seeker could be tomorrows die-hard fan.

Of course we would, that low figure was mainly down to the LDV appearance a few weeks before. We could easily more than double that to, say, 15000. If it was at Wembley add another 5000, if against Col U, add another 5000, giving us about 25000. Col U would obviously bring massive support, so I would predict an attendance of around 28500!!

Sheesh, we KNOW we get small support, but funnily enough, fans don't score goals so get over it!

This has been one hell of a year for Essex, let's hope that we both go up automatically. The worse scenario that I fear is that game on May 6th - both of us needing a win to finish second. There would be transistor radios everywhere!

i live quite far away from roots but i normally get to most home games, but i would prefer a televised game to the beam back

We took a lot more than 20K to the FA trophy final there were very few supporters from Witton that day, and the gate of 28K plus was later amended to 32K plus due to an admin error.I think the club claimed over 25K fans were from Col******r in the end.
