You may have seen this story, about a slightly unfortunate combination of letters on the Countdown board the other day:

Countdown-Rachel-Riley-001.jpg

The last letter was G... and it transpires that both contestants went for the rather lame 5-word efforts of "Caged" and "Faced".

Two thoughts:

1. The second contestant is clearly a wimp. If I'd heard the first contestant say they had a five letter word, I'd have immediately offered up the obvious 6-letter word suggested by those letters, in order to win the round. There's no doubt that said word is a good, solid English word.

2. Riley... you would, wouldn't you?

;)

I'm not sure i believe this Matt, it's been said by Vorderman, Madeley (RIP) et al, that if any possible fruity selections come up they get edited out.

And yes. Twice at the weekend.

1. The first contestant is also clearly a wimp. Or an idiot.

2. Yes, but she does look like a pregnant zebra

Interestingly I found out last year that I attend a quarterly sportsmans dinner with her dad, known only to me as 'Riley'. We've been going to these things for the best part of 15 years and I still don't know his first name. He mentioned that she was his daughter last year (sadly I can see the resemblance, wouldn't stop me though).

He gets on at the same station as me so assumed he must live near me. I then find out that my mum's best mate is a close family friend of the Rileys and spent Boxing Day with them last year. From this source I gleaned that she's broken up with her boyfriend and is back living at home. A home which is in fact just round the corner from me.

I feel I should act on this, sadly Riley knows what a deviant I've been at certain stages of my life and probably wouldn't let me anywhere near her.

Three from the top and two from the bottom? I'd bet you'd love to number crunch with her.

B - I think you're duty-bound to have a crack, mate.

;)

Its amazing what a make up artist and full time hairdresser can do because she was never that fit before she went on TV.

I think you have misinterpreted the meaning of the word - the act of reproduction resulting in an earthquake or Volcanic eruption

It's that ever so fine distinction between making the earth move for her and banging a fat lass.

When did she reject you again?

Ha ha she was a friends girlfriend so never had the chance to reject me. Never really saw it in her though. Guess it didn't help that most of her friends were stunning so she just didn't look as good in comparison.

Oh yes. She's a local girl too. I believe her parents live on Southchurch Boulevard, and she lived with them until quite recently.
