The rumour going round Aldershot is that Craig Reid is set to sign for Southend United.

A quick search shows he had a very good scoring record at Newport, helped Stevenage get promotion to the league and scored a respectable 11 goals for a very poor Aldersh*t team.

very true, and i hope if he does sign he will score 15-20 goals, but im always worried we we sign players who have had very average careers as they tend to be crap for us (jabo ibhere springs to mind)

Neither did tomlin or Corr before they joined us. We are a mid table league 2 team without a pot to **** in so hardly going to sign someone who's just scored 30 goals last season.

Harsh on Jabo as he wasn't here long and has done well since he left us. In fact often the most disappointing strikers have been those with good scoring records-Harris, Freedman, Eastwood (version 2) and even Benyon who scored a lot for Torquay.

Exactly. At our level we have to keep bringing in mediocre strikers until one comes along that fits in and scores goals. Look at how many players score thirty goals get their move and stop scoring; it works both ways.

seen a couple of other lower league clubs forums, they are all shockingly badly designed!!! they look so cheap, ours really is one of he best :D
