It gives you the best chance of avoiding sleepless nights!

Our's sleeps for about 5 or 6 hours a night, bliss!
My 3 month old, Florence, regularly does 9-11 hours at night without waking.

Make the most of it!
From about the age of one the amount of sleep they need lessens until they're almost 3 so I'm told.

We were in that lucky position from 2 months old, of having our daughter sleeping through usually from 7pm to 7 if not 8am. 4.30 she had me up this morning! Not that I mind, every second with her is precious!

Only advice I can suggest is getting the Anti-Colic Bottles and some Gripe Water...

Try winding more often, and I found a car ride helped calm baby down...

Wrapping baby in a blanket and slightly massaging the tummy also helped.

Also don't forget to share the duties with your other half though mate!.

Hope that helps, a colic baby can be testing for parents.

Not a lot you can do unfortunately, although we were fairly lucky with Grace. The colic drops don't really seem to do a lot.

Maybe also check which flow of teats are on the bottles as if the baby is getting too much fluid too quickly, this can also cause the imbalance which produces the colic, so I seem to remember!

Are you bottle feeding or is your misses breast feeding, or a combo of both?

We started out with Avent bottles, but found they cause alot of wind and Colic.

We changed to Tommee Tippee bottles and found their alot better, plus they are the closest comparison to breast feeding.

All the other suggestions above are very good.

I've been on a baby massaging course with the other half and young Tomas, and they say a tummy massage does wonders.

Here are some latest pics of Tomas. He's now 3 months old. Time just flashes by...

Congratulations to you both!
No words can prepare you for how you will feel and what you'll need to deal with but the reward far outweighs any problems!

Hope it all goes well!

I know they had those babygrows last year but not sure if they still stock them! I've kept Grace's one for her special keepsake box!

Whoa.. first time in the pub and I stumble on this thread....good stuff

Best wishes TTK and all expectant dads in Shrimperland!

One thing I'll always regret not having when my two were very young and thats a video cam. I'd love to see them waddle and stagger around again (just like their dad at the weekend). Still, the photos are good. You can never take too many.

My son (10) is a manure fan (playground pressure) but daughter (9) is a Shrimper and loves going to the away games with me (has finally stopped asking me what 'certain words' mean now, although if things carry on on like they have been recently, she'll start using them!

Welome to the pub and especially this subject.

My daughter is back living with me at the moment and my Son is back from Uni this weekend, it will be the first time all three, (four now there is a new Mrs FS) have been under the same roof for 6 years............

BTW they don't get any cheaper as they get older Mrs FS and I have 4 between us and no money left....and I wouldn't have it any other way
