someone posted about treasuring the early years etc.
Well guys make sure you treasure All the years with your kids.
Always remember if you miss out on some things, you cant just go back and replay that period again, kids are there to be enjoyed.
I only started going to Roots Hall cos it was somewhere to take the boys. Now, me and the young un have ST's and dont miss a game.

Didn't realise this existed until now.

Had some news back in November going to be a dad in June had first scan and all is ok, second due end of January.

Mrs U doesn't like Daryll or Efe and we have a Freddy and Billy in the family. So looking elsewhere for names!

Well our baby was due on Dec 19th but the little bugger hung in there and was finally induced 12 days late. Mum eventually had to go under the knife and our baby girl (Ella) arrived at 21:18 on 31st Dec, weighing 8lbs 5oz. Both are still in the hospital but hopefully home either today or tomorrow.

Congratulations on the new arrival, glad it went well in the end!

Were you secretly hoping it would take another couple of hours so you could be the first parents of the year?

Indeed...Everything went my way - the missus was good enough to to go through the Ceasarean and stay in hospital so no point me missing the game!

Both allowed home now as well so looking forward to my first sleepless night.

Many congratulations to your and your misses, and to your new arrival.

Being a Dad is just ace, but hard work.

It's all worth it though when you see your child smile at you for the very first time.

Best wishes mate!

Cheers. I guess it's quite normal that they won't go anywhere near their bed the first few nights? Put her down and the screams just keep on coming. Pick her up and lay her on your chest et voila! instant sleep and silence.

Yep, spot on there.
Routine is the key.
Then they will learn what time to be hungry what time to sleep etc etc.

I miss that feeling of my daughter sleeping soundly on my chest. Despite only being 16 months she's got far too big to do that now. This has been brought home the past week by her feeling really ill with the flu and only being truly comfy and peaceful lying on her old Dad!

Well this is a bit of an update really, Charlie Joe is now 3 months old and over the last few weeks had been sleeping longer at night. The first time he went 6 hours i was ecstatic, but within a week that was upto 8 hrs and finally last week he did his first 11 hour stint.

It feels so good but also feels like he is growing up too quick.

Good stuff! I think we must be extremely lucky, our daughter is 6 weeks old and for the last week she has slept through and missed her night feed altogether! Only exception was last night when she woke at about 5am so had a few ounces. Long may it continue!

I know what you mean about your son growing up real quick. Our Tomas is now 5 months old and he's changed so much.

He sleeps for about 9 hours a night which is very good. We very rarely have a sleepless night.
