Yesterday we lost classical guitarist Julian Bream and UFO bassist Pete Way.

I have never seen UFO live but for some reason I have a clear vinyl version of their most well known song Doctor Doctor. For the life of me I have no recollection of how it came into possession:

Sorry to hear about JB.

David Bryant has passed away aged 88.

A six time singles world champion across two of his sport's disciplines, he was regarded as the greatest ever bowler.

He certainly added a bit of fizz to the BBC coverage of indoor bowls in the late 70s and 80s.

I'm sure I remember him with his pipe on a Question of Sport back in the day. He actually made bowls a bit exciting to watch.

Also RIP Chadwick Boseman.

Sad day yesterday, both Diana Rigg and Alan Minter, totally different pathways but both legends in their fields.

RIP.

To anyone that grew up in the 60's, (as I did), Diana Rigg was both a vey sexy and wonderfully funny lady.Nobody who saw The Avengers Could ever forget her.She even got a mention on French TV last night+they played the show's theme tune. That's stardom for you.Just sorry that I never got to see her on stage (as I did with eg Glenda Jackson).

Zero interest in boxing I'm afraid (apart from perhaps M .Ali in his prime).

I remember watching Alan Minter win the World title and then the re-match. Then a nobody pitched up called Marvin Hagler, it was a slaughter. I still cringe at the thought of those three horrible rounds.

Yes, Alan Minter quickly realised he was up against a much better opponent. He got very quickly out boxed, so as he had the heart of a lion, he tried to turn it into a brawl. This didn't work either, and he was picked off even more. No disgrace, as Marvin Hagler was very special. I used to love watching those old British fighters with my dad. Henry Cooper, Joe Bugner, John Conteh, Alan Minter, Dave Boy Green. And then we were treated to the real deal when watching the American heavyweights.
Alan Minter was one of my favourite boxers, so very sad that he's passed away.

Uriah Heep drummer Lee Kerslake has passed away aged 73. I saw UH at the Cliffs around 84/85 I think.

French/English actor Michael Lonsdale has died aged 89. He probably best known to UK audiences for appearance as Hugo Drax in Moonraker and Deputy Commissioner Claude Lebel in The Day of The Jackal.
