Post-Match Thread and Ratings Ebbsfleet 0-4 Southend United

Enjoyed seeing a 4-0 resu!t. I was sceptical with the starting 11 but pleased to see it all work out well. Looks like our GD is looking much better too!
I'm pleased wealdstone need to win because it will open up spaces for us. Be great if we could get our GD better than others around us before that last game.
Good timing for a confidence boost for our forwards and now a decent rest period before the next game.

A solid result against a team we were expected to beat. The team now have it all to do again against Wealdstone. It may be that our Gateshead result could be irrelevant with the right results before it.

Not sure that’s possible - whatever happens, if Gateshead beat us, we don’t make play offs, unless Halifax lose both their remaining two games. Either way, that final day will be nervy, but as people have said, we still need to beat Wealdstone.

Solid performance against a woeful team. Coker my mom. He gets forward from central positions that none of our other cm’s do and it adds a dimension to our play, I feel.

Pleased for all the forwards that got goals, none of them will have sky high confidence because of the few amount of goals they have scored all season but Kev saying on Friday “it’s simple we need more goals” must have been a kick in the gut and they responded well today

I guess it keeps us in with a sniff. But we have relied on results to go our way, which they did.
We will know next Saturday what we need to do prior to our late kick off.
Hopefully if the earlier games results go our way we will need a win to slip into the play off places with that final game on BH Monday.

A little help please…….
Trying to move my STH from West to North for Wealdstone match
Not doing very well, any assistance would be greatly appreciated
How do I move my seat?

  1. Email tickets@southend-united.co.uk with your SHR number, confirming that you are happy to relocate and be a part of our Blue Voice for the remainder of the season, or any remaining home game.
  2. Call the BTMK Box Office on 03444 77 00 77 – option 1.
  3. Visit the BTMK Box Office and discuss your move.
If I move my seat, will I be able to keep my original seat for 2025/26 season?

Yes, season ticket holders who relocate to the North Bank will be given a dedicated swap period to move back to their original seats in the summer, should they wish to.

Appreciate that thanks 🙏

We were slightly better today but the opposition was something similar to Dover a few years back, in terms of quality.

The results went totally in our favour today including the goal difference which could be veery important considering but I just don't think we have what it takes in terms of quality/character to win the last two games I'm afraid.

We are a difficult side to beat though so if we do make it into the play offs, I don't think many would want to face us at all.

Could 4 points do it?.

It really is the hope that kills you....

Job done, again results went our way, but Ebbsfleet were so poor. If it goes to Gateshead we will have to be better, despite there recent slip they are a good side, but never say never, anything can happen with our club. But please Kev, Kendal, Bonne or Walker in front of Hopper.

Boston lost today to a 97th minute goal at Solihull. Next week Boston play Gateshead and will need a win to ensure their survival so come on you Fen dwelling monkeys. That should be good news for us.

Mind you, our opponents Wealdstone need to win too as they are only 2 points from the drop. They gained a good point today. I think they will adopt the Braintree approach against us, 11 behind the ball and watch us play our pretty passing triangles. Hopefully we will break them down.

And talking of Braintree.... they play Halifax next and could do us a good turn....
Braintree also need a win to be safe..

It's the hope that kills you!

Good win against a poor side, but with the form we were in it was far from guaranteed.

Gateshead and Halifax seem to be wobbling heavily and it's great it could at least be a straight shootout for the last spot in our final game
