with the return game in a few days time im thinking Kev and co may rest certain players Morton can cover for Miley Waldron for Dackers as there is a need to give Waldron games to get him up to speed . will Kev contemplate resting one off the back 3 and bring in Crowther, will Hussein come back into the side if so who will he replace ,certainly not Coker.

Big game for both clubs this, one still fighting or getting dragged into the relegation dog fight and other needs a win to get possibly closer to the playoffs and finishing as high as possible, maybe there biggest crowd of the season and a nice big away support from us, should be a great game, come on Southend👏👏

Their website says it could be their biggest crowd for 20 years!

Looking forward to this one, going by train although as usual Greater Anglia are closing our line so its train to Witham and bus to Billericay then back on train to Stratford. Then beers & lunch with youngest son before back on the train at Stratford Int to Ebbsfleet Int. Good job its a local game!

Got to love Good Friday games, I remember many (mainly in the 80's) with early k.o's especially against the likes Sheffield United, Millwall, Gillingham and Bournmouth etc, where later on in the day I would go to the local newsagent and get the Echo to read the match report.

Very much looking forward to this. I think what will be key is the fact that we played only 3 days ago while Ebbsfleet’s last game was two weeks ago. Will freshness or rustiness prevail? Here’s hoping it’s the latter.

The Beeb forecast for the area is dry, very little likely hood of rain, temp of 12°C and light winds. Nothing to worry about there.
It's North Kent, on an open terrace on a Bank Holiday. It's going to rain.

5 times I've been to Gillingham and each and every time the heavens have opened.

Just pulling out of Stratford, Ebbsfleet in 15 mts! A few Shrimpers on board 👍

Daughter just texted, my 4 year old grandaughter is joining us, always a joy, but for some reason they don't want to join thirsty Shrimpers in a decent pub.....so enjoy your pint wherever you end up, I'm in the Hot Rod Diner with a bottle of corona & a chilli hot dog 😩
