Essex Cricket 2021

Innings and 15 run victory:Clap:
If we could have been assured of good weather throughout,we could have delayed our declaration and then won by an innings and about 515 runs.
Not having 2 divisions and having to face such poor opposition is ridiculous.

Essex finish Day 2 on 16 for 1 after bowling out Warwickshire for 166 (T.Bresnan 50, Siddle 6-38)

Slightly off topic but Kent’s Darren Stevens aged a mere 45 years old hit 190 with 15 sixes batting at 7, 170 partnership his no 9 partner scored 1 to it lol
Then he grabs a wicket, never too old to shine

Essex recover slightly from 125/6 to 189/8 (a nominal lead)

Essex have now taken 18 Durham wickets, none of which have fallen to Simon Harmer.

Notts win the toss and elect to bat on a sweltering day at Chelmsford. At the close of Day 1 they were 248/6 (Clarke 57no, Siddle 3/76).
