A and C, often only seperated by B, but on this occasion seperated by 2 or 3 goals, with in an easy C's victory.

C for Champions

To close to call, going to penalties for me...

Penalties A's 4-5 C's
AngellMoody O - O Collymore 1-1
Sussex O - O Chisnall 2-2
McCormack X - O Crown 2-3
Wakefield O - O Morris 3-4
AnsahAustin O - X Cadette 4-4
----------------sudden death
MoodyAngell X - X Coulson 4-4
Barrett X - O Clark 4-5

Paul Clark knocks in the winning pen. Sorry Beefy.

Corrected. Alan Moody was apparently one of the better penalty-takers in the club's history scoring something like 24 out of 28 penalties. Him and Sussex are the As bankers for a penalty shoot out.

Brettie Angell and Ooh Andy Ansah were members of the team who missed 7 consecutive penalties - a run finally broken by Dean Austin. Austin promptly missed his next one. I'm not sure Angell and Ansah necessarily missed, but if they didn't it would only be because they didn't take any.

See I didn't know that about Moody, but you obviously thought about this alot more than me. Reports that my penalty shoot out may have resembled two eraser's for goalposts and a scrunched up paper 'ball' on my desk, are entirely speculation.

So in the end FBM and the favourites from the start team C take the winners award, Congratulations..... Well done also to Beefy for coming second and to all those that took part. A huge thanks must also go out to to Naps and BLUEBLOOD as his assistant for running a superb and very enjoyable competition...

I will sort out a framed SUFC picture for you as a small prize.

Well done to all, when I got C and realised some of the players I could have I knew it would be a tough team to beat. We don't have many players that go on to be England internationals, in fact I can't immediately think of any others apart from Stan and Sir Chris so to have them both was a dream.

Big thanks to Napster for the idea and Blueblood for the running of it. Cheers guys!

I thought that was mentioned in the earlier threads? Moody was penalty specialist for a few seasons. Well done indeed to fbm and Beefy, two of my favourite teams of the competition being worthy finalists...and well done to Napster and BLUEBLOOD.
