I once met Lionel Richie at Heathrow baggage reclaim and as it turns out he doesnt support Southend, but he did once meet a Southend United supporter at Heathrow baggage reclaim.
Please tell me you said to him "Hello, is it this you're looking for" when he reclaimed his bag!
I once appeared on 15 to 1. Does that count?
I have also appeared in a sitcom entitled 'The Blind Men' and also have appeared on Crimewatch (not as a suspect I hasten to add).
I was also in the school Pantomime (which was very similar to watching Southend).
Talking of darts, is Ted Hankey any relation (son?) of the Ted Hankey who used to play for us?
It was actually Steve Collins the Irish super-middleweight champion of the world who used to come to a few games. It started when he came to watch us play Carlisle as his brother Rod was manager of them. I believe Steve lived fairly locally for a while.
I hope you said 'Hello'

Would green if I could!
Dannypav was in there first saying "hello"! :raspberry:
Oh no it isn't
i would definitely green this if i could lol ,i like itMartin Jol watched Southend at Roots Hall after he got sacked by Spurs as he said a nice day out at the seaside took his mind off things. His next visit is likely to be coming up very soon.
Former world no.1 darts player and Sky Sports presenter Rod Harrington used to play for us in his youth.
Met him a few years back and asked him about Southend; he doesn't really give a monkeys about us any more.
A few years back when i was going out with Rachel Riley , i took her to a Southend match. Sadly it was the one where we beat Man U + she said she would always support the under dog so became a Man U fan, so that was it. So i dumped her.
