This was a debate last evening for watching the game on TV...Six of us and the debate was what to get for a Takeaway. It ended up with three different deliveries.Wheras I'm fairly easy going as far as those sort of foods go I cant stand Pizza for the life of me .

So Favourite Takeaway people and why?

Indian just shades it for me, although I reckon I probably have quite a few more Chinese takeaways.

Best Chinese takeaway in Essex...

....Hong Kong House - in Eastwood!

(Hasina across the road for Indian!)

I do like a bit of sushi - local place delivers around here (we're so cosmopolitan :D)

Trust DtS and Sam to agree on the same thing

I knew it nobody likes Pizza so far.

Indian from the Mumtaz Mahal and a sneaky pint while I am waiting.

I am partial to a good kebab as well. You just can't stay mad at the Arabs.

Haha - chinese is the best takeaway though everyone knows that - although when they eat it in China what do they call it then?!

I think the Chinese probably call it "sun" (don't know the characters, only know the pinyin) pronounced in the high rising tone, which I think means food/dinner.

Actually, when I lived in HK, I struggled to find decent Chinese takeaways. There were plenty of good Chinese restaurants, but in contrast to all the Thai and other places, none of the Chinese takeaways were any good.

带走 = takeaway in Chinese.:)

God I'm clever.

Not!

Curry all the way, Cafe Masala in Thorpe Bay is my fav at the moment. Thank you for introducing that to me Mr B & Bob Cratchitt.

Big fan of Indians but the two best takeaways I've ever had are

1) A Lebanese in Paris - a fantastic and tasty variety of food

2) Harry Ramsdens in Hong Kong - after a week or so of Asian Cuisine (bearing in mind I won't eat that McDonalds **** as well !) this was superb.

Currently Pizza, However Indian and Chinede do adopt the number 1 slot in rotation.

Variety is the spice of life!!!
