Favourite TV Comedy Programme.

I cannot watch Peep Show without picturing you as Mark Corrigan

:o

Nah, Mark's way too hip and 'with it' for an MtS comparison.

The lists get longer :D as it's now a free for all I'll add.

The New Statesman....Rick Mayle was great in that.

There's a lot to be said for these too:

Spaced
Black Books
Big train

So now it's three is it? In that case:-

1. Only Fools
2. The Office
3. Cheers

I must be missing something. I hate all US 'comedy' programmes. I sit there totally stony-faced.
us anti-bean boys stuck together again, I absolutely hate that american stuff on trouble and abc etc. where a laughter track laughs at anything, it has got to be the dumbest form of "comedy" around.

anyway,
friends (which is whatall these others shows are trying to replicate)
Family guy
porrige
closely followed by only fools and horses

There's a lot of decent american comedy, you just have to search for it. The Simpsons is an obvious shout, and Curb Your Enthusiasm is a work of genius. Malcolm in the Middle is worth a watch too.

My favourites are as follows:

Peep Show (best comedy show in a long time, in my opinion)
Phoenix Nights
I'm Alan Partridge
Blackadder
Father Ted
Fawlty Towers
Still Game (a Scottish comedy that is little-known daahn saaf, but it's weel worth a watch, filled with laughs and pathos)
The Office

Of all time, Blackadder - no contest. If Only Fools had finished in 1987 it would have run it close but for me, it went pretty **** after Rodders met Cassandra (with the exception of the classic "Jolly Boys Outing" episode).

More recent favourites include Peep Show, League of Gentlemen, Spaced, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm and the entire output of Messrs Morris and Coogan (yes, even Dr Terrible's House of Horrible).
